A great breakfast alternative to the commonly used oatmeal granola. Easy and delicious.

  • 1/2 cup of Brazil nuts
  • 1/2 cup of Pecans
  • 1/2 cup of Walnuts
  • 1/4 cup of Pumpkin seeds
  • 1/2 cup of Almonds
  • 1 cup of Shredded coconut
  • 1/2 Raisins (exclude if you're cleansing or doing a program)
  • Pure Stevia powder (or coconut sugar) to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil

Other nuts & seeds: macadamia nuts, cashews, chia seeds, flax seeds, etc.

  • Chop the nuts and seeds to the size you prefer.
  • Add the coconut oil to a large pan over medium-low heat.
  • Add the nuts, seeds, and shredded coconut and sauté them for a few minutes, stirring constantly to keep them from burning.
  • Add Stevia powder to taste (if using Stevia, add it little by little and taste it because it can be too sweet).
  • Mix everything well and turn off the stove.

A lot of people make their granola in the oven and that is another option. I prefer to pan cook it because when the nuts and seeds get too hot they can release certain toxins. And they don't really need to get too hot to get slightly toasted and crunchy and be delicious. I hope you like this option and give it a try.
